Wanna Buy It?

You watch an advertisement on your current TV set demonstrating the better qualities of the latest TV model with the higher definition plasma screen and higher fidelity audio. (Or running an advertisement for colour TVs on black and white TVs?)

Do you get my drift?

Have you ever wondered who would actually buy the new TV that's being advertised on his current TV set?

Well, I wouldn't. Because if the new TV looks and sounds good on my current TV, then it really means that my TV is good enough, if not better! If, through my own TV, I can see clearly how crisp the pictures look on the TV being advertised, then the pictures on my TV is just as crisp as the new one, if not better.

So, my friends, THINK!

Consider the following similar scenarios:

You're listening to a radio advertisement selling a new radio. Is it possible to hear how much better the new radio would actually sound on your current radio?

Can you determine the print quality of a newer and supposedly better colour laser printer by performing a test print on your current mono dot matrix printer?

Have you ever come across a newspaper which promotes a rival newspaper?

Would Apple allow Microsoft to demonstrate its WMV or WMA files on their website?

THINK, my friends! THINK!
